Arise Church is a growing, Spirit-filled ministry in Decatur, Alabama with a passion for revival, excellence, and the presence of God. Our worship team carries a prophetic sound — blending Contemporary Christian Music (CCM) and Gospel to create an atmosphere where people can encounter Jesus authentically.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled and spiritually grounded drummer to join our worship team. This role is not just about rhythm; it’s about releasing sound that shifts atmospheres. The drummer will serve during Sunday Services, rehearsals, conferences, and special events.

Responsibilities

  • Arrive no later than 12:30PM on Sundays for soundcheck and pre-service preparation.

  • Participate in post-service rehearsals and Wednesday practices (as scheduled).

  • Learn songs both by ear and chord charts — we’ll provide instrumentals, arrangements, and any supporting materials.

  • Maintain sensitivity to flow worship while being able to follow structured arrangements.

  • Demonstrate a heart for worship, teamwork, and excellence.

  • Collaborate with leadership and other musicians to cultivate unity and consistent musical growth.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in CCM and Gospel styles; versatile across multiple genres.

  • Comfortable with live and click-track performance.

  • Seasoned player with strong timing, dynamics, and musical maturity.

  • Must be a believer with an active relationship with God and a lifestyle that reflects Christ.

  • Displays punctuality, humility, and team spirit in every setting.

  • Open to feedback and spiritual accountability.

Audition Process

Candidates will complete a short application, followed by:

  1. Video submission (2–3 minutes of playing to a worship song of your choice).

  2. Live audition at Arise Church.

  3. Conversation with church leadership to discuss vision and expectations.
